The Power of Gratitude

Words have power and energy. When said with sincerity and intention, the phrase “thank you” and the word “gratitude” carry Universal energy that can affect us during good times and bad. When you are aware of the good things in your life, and are thankful and in gratitude for them, your vibrations rise and you attract more of what you want in your business and in life.

Gratitude is an affirmation of goodness and the more you practice it the more you begin to feel alive and more joyful!

What are the benefits of being grateful?

  • When you are grateful more good things come to you.

When you appreciate what you have, more good things come into your life. There is always something to appreciate and be grateful for. Think about and feel gratefulness for the things you have already attracted in your life and for those you are about to receive.

  • The more you practice gratefulness you become happier and as a result your emotional health improves.

When you are grateful, it boosts your spirits. You get increased feelings of optimism which reduce any stress and anxiety that you may experience.

  • You become more clear.

When you are grateful you create clarity by observing life from all angles. You notice all the good things in different areas of your life leading to helping you to achieve contentment. Once content, you start to focus on the many gifts that everyday life has to offer.

“Gratitude is the most passionate transformative force in the cosmos. If you give thanks for five gifts every day, in two months you may not look at your life in the same way as you might now.” – Sarah Ban Breathnach

The Art of Cultivating Gratefulness

  • Write a Thank You Note

This simple exercise helps to increase positive vibes. Write a thank you note to someone who has influenced your life. Why? Because writing a thank you note, and receiving one, is unexpected. You bring joy to another’s life and help them feeling appreciated.

Thanking others in writing increases your optimism as well as the optimism of the person that you affirm with your magical words.

  • Recite Gratitude Affirmations

Below are a sample of affirmations for you to say daily. The key to them working is to truly believe them.

    •     I am grateful for today. (What exactly are you grateful for?)
    •     Whatever has happened, is happening, and will happen, I am grateful.
    •     I am ready to receive blessings from the Universe. (What blessings are you intending?)
    •     I am stepping into the energy of gratefulness and intend that everything goes well for me.

“Everything always goes well for me.”

  • Live in the moment

You only have this very moment. You do not have the future and the past is gone.

Focus on the here and now and avoid – if you can – thinking about tomorrow. Think about everything you are grateful for right now. You may be surprised at how many things start to flow into your mind and heart that you appreciate.

  • Always say “Thank You.”

Say it in the shower, say it as you brush your teeth and as you walk out that door. Continue to say it throughout the day and even before you sleep. Some say that the phrase “Thank you” is actually a prayer.

Would love to hear how these tips work for you and how you apply them.

With sincere appreciation and gratefulness,

Terry
